Throughout his career he has been tapped for his insights and experience with the Hispanic community and has weaved those efforts seamlessly into his general market approach. His background in social media marketing, integrated marketing communications, strategic business planning, B2B/B2C marketing and product branding is a great benefit to his clients.

Hugo has participated, created and led a diverse range of programs in a variety of categories, from fast moving consumer goods, to health and beauty, pharmaceuticals, education, entertainment, and pet care, among many others. Hugo also has strong traditional marketing and PR/media relations experience with print, broadcast and Internet channels. As a former journalist, his work has been featured on NBC Network News, MSNBC,, CBS News, and across a variety of niche entertainment and news websites. His efforts have earned him a National News Emmy and a TV Feature First Place Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. His communications initiatives have also been awarded Peabody and Beacon awards. Most recently, as an independent film producer, his short film Grande Drip, a romantic drama featuring Hollywood legend Gary Marshall, was a selection in over a dozen film festivals, won five audience awards, and was named among the best shorts of 2009. His latest short film, Knight to D7 , a powerful drama starring Emmy-Award winners Hector Elizondo and Jackée, has just entered the 2011 film festival circuit and already been named an official selection at a half dozen festivals.

A truly global citizen who has travelled extensively around the world for business and pleasure, Hugo was born in Puerto Rico, raised in Chicago, and lived in the iconic cities of Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and London. He earned his master’s degree at Northwestern University, focused on managerial communications. He’s also served as an adjunct professor for over a decade teaching blogging, emerging media, and social media marketing strategies. Hugo’s passion for storytelling is evident in his exciting and fresh approach to the business world.
