Javier von Westphalen, HMA Associates

Javier von Westphalen is a marketing, business consultant, and coach, with passion for consumer insight, innovation, and creativity.  He is Senior Vice President of Marketing Communications and Strategy for HMA Associates, a multicultural marketing firm that helps clients engage the Hispanic, African American, Asian, and Native American communities.

With more than 15 years of strategic and marketing, on the agency and client sides, Javier has extensive experience planning, developing, launching, and managing compelling advertising, PR, and social marketing campaigns for recognized brands.

During his career, Javier has worked with various clients including CPG, government agencies, non-profits, telecommunications, healthcare, and media & entertainment.  Prior to this role, he provided executive coaching, marketing and management consulting services acting as the un-official CMO, CXO, and CIO.  He has worked with a wide range of businesses, from new ventures, small companies to Fortune 500.

Javier founded MiRollo.com an early e-payment company targeting Latinos, and co-founded El Club Latino Americano, non-profit organization in Fresno, California to bring awareness and integrate different Latin cultures.  He is a regular speaker at University of Baltimore on Marketing Strategy, and has been guest lectured at Fresno Pacific University and Towson University.  He holds a BA from California State, Fresno, a MA from Fresno Pacific University, and executive educations from Harvard Business School, and Kellogg University/Institute of Media and Entertainment.
